CRS: Certified Residential Specialist

The CRS designation is achieved by fewer than 3% of REALTORS®. To receive the CRS Designation, REALTORS® must demonstrate outstanding professional achievements including demonstrated performance in selling large numbers of homes, as well as completing advanced training in areas such as finance, marketing and technology. They must also maintain membership in the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® and abide by its Code of Ethics.

ABR: Accredited Buyer Representative

When buying a home, it's a GREAT IDEA to have a professional who is working for you and advising you every step of the way. An Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) should be your guide. ABRs have track records: in order to win this designation, they have to have specialized education on assisting buyers, and they have to have successfully closed five transactions while acting exclusively as a buyer's representative. They also have to maintain membership in good standing both as a REALTOR(r) and as a member of the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council (REBAC).  Only 5% of REALTORS(r) have earned this designation!
